All in the best possible taste
11 June 2012
In 2011, Seneca Productions were commissioned by Channel 4 to work with Grayson Perry to make three 1-hour programmes on aesthetic taste.
For one of the programmes they looked at the subject from the perspective of the “modern middle class” and identified Kings Hill as a location where such people live. (They filmed “working class” in Sunderland and “upper class” in the Cotswolds)
In The Vanity of Small Differences Grayson Perry explores his fascination with taste and the visual story it tells of our interior lives in a series of six tapestries currently being exhibited at The Victoria Miro Gallery, London.
