The Rouse Kent Public Art Award is made annually to acknowledge the best example of public art commission and completed in the county of Kent each year. The purpose of the Award, as promoted by its sponsors, Liberty Property Trust UK, Kent County Council and Arts Council England, South East, is to focus attention on the benefits of public art and to stimulate the commissioning of new work. The total prize money is £20,000.

Liberty, in turn, commissions public art on an ongoing basis at Kings Hill to create a vibrant social infrastructure that will evoke a sense of pride and create a sense of place.
