Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald treads path to Kings Hill
In one of the largest property transactions in Kent this year Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald has taken 20,591 sq ft at 10 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, West Malling.
The joint venture provides design and construction services for the operation and maintenance of the strategic road network in the South East of England (Kent, and East and West Sussex) on behalf of the Highways Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Transport.
Andrew Blevins, managing director of Liberty Property Trust UK, the developer of Kings Hill said: “This is a tenant selected by the Government to implement an important regional infrastructure contract and we are delighted they have chosen Kings Hill.”
200 staff will be moving to the Kings Hill offices, which will be operational by the end of October.
Chris Brown, contract director, Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald said: “We chose Kings Hill as it is well connected to the road network, can provide the parking we require and a cost efficient, environmentally friendly property solution.”
This transaction follows a range of lease renewals at Kings Hill, with all companies with 2009 lease events choosing to remain at Kings Hill. In total this represented 42,664 sq ft on the park, which is now over 96% occupied. Only a small number of suites remain available, proving its popularity as a business location.
