Young footballers from Kings Hill enjoyed a little ‘world cup’ action when they took part in their end of season fun day.

The event was organised by the Kings Hill Football Club, which has over 220 members between the ages of five and sixteen as well as a Vet’s team.

The children took part in friendly matches as well as other sports related activities and competitions, and one of the highlights of the day was the prize giving.

Every player received a season trophy and Andrew Blevins, managing director of Kings Hill developer Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd, was on hand to present two special awards.

The Liberty Trophy for Achievement went to Andy Alford’s Under 13s team and the Liberty Trophy for Endeavour went to James Hoare’s Under 10s Colts team.

“There are many families with young children at Kings Hill and it is great for us to have such a successful club here,” said Andrew Blevins. “The people who run it are volunteers who give up their free time to provide somewhere for the children to have fun, exercise and play safely, and we are delighted to be able to support them.”

The Kings Hill Football Club has just been given the FA Charter Standard Award, a best practice guide that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection.
