New house sales at seven year high
House sales at Kings Hill are at their highest for seven years, according to the marketing forum which brings together the all the homebuilders with masterplanning developer Liberty Property Trust UK.
Kings Hill New Homes has announced that in the first three months of 2013 a total of 28 new homes were sold, compared to 25 in 2007, the year before the economic downturn.
“Interestingly the 2013 performance so far is 65% ahead of the same time last year, and double that of the first quarter of 2011 when 14 new homes were sold,” said: Andrew Blevins, Liberty’s managing director.
He added: “All the homebuilders at Kings Hill are reporting a very strong start to the year with increased numbers of visitors to their sales offices and show homes, resulting in great enquiries and sales.”
Kings Hill New Homes includes Bellway, Crest Nicholson, Environ, Hillreed, Taylor Wimpey and Ward Homes – which are all currently developing there. The group are jointly marketing the residential developments and promoting living at Kings Hill.
Jason Stokes – Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey South East, said: “Despite the poor weather in the first three months of the year, 2013 has started very positively. Buyers are increasingly attracted by the lifestyle on offer at Kings Hill, whether they are young professionals, young families or those who are downsizing but want access to high quality amenities. With the current low mortgage rates many feel that now is the right time to consider a move.”
The current members of Kings Hill New Homes are building out their combined total of 281 homes at Kings Hill, ranging from 2 bed apartments to 5 bed family homes.
