Kings Hill FC scores thanks to Liberty
With a brand new sports ground and loyal support from the community, Kings Hill Football Club (KHFC) is going from strength to strength and recruiting more members than ever.
The club, which was founded ten years ago, now has over 300 players from U6’s to Veterans - including Elite squads which, aided by the new facilities, plan to compete at the highest possible level in Kent County football in the years ahead.
Last month the club moved to its new ground, the £4million Kings Hill Sports Park, which has five grass pitches, a floodlit 3G artificial pitch and a pavilion. The facility was handed over to the Parish Council for the people of Kings Hill by developer Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd and its development partner Kent County Council.
The club is well supported financially by local businesses and for the past three years Liberty has sponsored the same team, charting its journey from U11’s to U13’s.
KHFC chairman Dan Mason said: “We are delighted the club is doing so well and very appreciative of the support we get from Liberty. We are over the moon with our new amenities at the Kings Hill Sports Park - the professionally maintained grass and 3G pitches rival those used by the 1st teams of many of the professional teams in Kent.
“The fact that we have all our teams training and playing in one facility on a weekly basis has helped create a fantastic club atmosphere and is bringing the whole community closer together. It is also helping us attract, and retain, many more players.”
Andrew Blevins, Liberty’s managing director, said that the company was delighted to be able to support the club. “We are very lucky to have such a great football club at Kings Hill and, as we count ourselves part of the community we are helping to develop, we are pleased to be able to sponsor the club,” he said. “It is run by a team of very dedicated people who give up a great deal of their free time and we commend them for their commitment.
“We invested more than our planning obligations required in developing the Kings Hill Sports Park as we felt it was the right thing to do. It is wonderful to know it is so well appreciated.”
The facilities at the Kings Hill Sports Park are available for anyone to hire. For more details, contact Helen Munro at Kings Hill Parish Council on 01732 870382.
